Where do
you live? Kinross
Which
squad do you coach? Under-10 Kwik Cricket and the
Ladies XI
What is
your favourite drill? Quick runs and safe
catching
What are
your aims for next season?
I
would like the Under-13s and Under-15s to win their
respective Scottish Cup titles again. I would like to
ensure there are enough matches for every player to
participate competitively if they would like to. In
coaching, I will continue to identify players that are
able to work at a higher level and ensure that
sufficient challenge is provided to enable those players
to improve their skills at an appropriate rate. I want
our young cricketers to be inspired to play at their
best for the club and to work hard and produce good
results.
I
would like to increase the number of Kinross juniors
playing in Regional Academy and national teams and
introduce more people to the excellent game of cricket.
I would like the ladies team to continue to expand and
for all the girls and women to really challenge
themselves in trying new things and stretching their
boundaries but have lots of fun at the same time.
Perhaps a Scotland cap for one or two of the under-16
girls could be coming in a few seasons if they keep
working.
And
finally - the 1st XI have to gain promotion from the
Strathmore Union 3rd division.
And
all of the above has to be in the correct spirit of the
game in a safe and happy environment for all.
That
is the cut down version of my wish list!
Do you
have a piece of cricketing advice? Catches win
matches!
Do you
have any other advice? Everything written in the
poem "IF"
by Rudyard Kipling

just have fun!

their advice is good!
