Opener Hits Maiden Century As First XI Move Clear In Title Race
1st XI opening batsman Chris Sale hit his maiden century with a sparkling 113 versus Perth side Northern on Saturday afternoon.
Having been put in to bat, James Ross hit a quickfire 42 from only 21 balls to get Kinross off to a flying start. Once James was bowled Chris took command of the innings, putting on solid partnerships with a number of the middle order.
In a wonderfully constructed knock that featured boundaries all round the ground his hundred came up with a beautifully executed switch hit that raced to the third man boundary. With some quick runs in the last overs Kinross pushed on to a formidable score of 249-6 from their 45 overs.
Kinross continued their run of wins in the league by restricting the visitors to 180-6 in a run chase that never really looked like threatening the large total set earlier in the day.
With news that nearest rivals Kinloch and Forthill were defeated on Saturday and Sunday respectively Kinross are now in pole position to secure a third promotion in three seasons and step up to the Premier Division of the Dukes Strathmore & Perthshire Union League.

100 Club
The aim of the 100 club is to
raise much needed funds for the Cricket Club.
It is hoped that the club will
have at least 100 members, but it will be possible to
have more than 1 membership.
Each membership will cost £4.00
per month, paid by Standing Order (see enclosed form) or
a lump sum of £48 paid annually. 50% of this income will
benefit the club and 50% will paid out in prizes,
through a monthly draw and a larger Christmas prize.
Debbie Weir from the fundraising
committee has agreed to manage this scheme along with
club treasurer, Alan Harper.
Should you have any queries
regarding the 100 club, please contact Debbie on 01259
743 417.
